Testimonials
"Meeting a caring, calm Pink Ribbon Volunteer that day at the doctor’s office and her sharing with me her story and hearing my story, made all the difference. At first I felt so overwhelmed I couldn’t imagine how meeting a volunteer could help me, but when she listened and shared, it made me feel instantly like I had a friend at Mayo.
After my first surgery, the Pink Ribbon Volunteers came by the hospital to drop me off a pillow and a care package. What a comfort! I treasured that.
Since meeting my amazing Pink Ribbon Volunteer, she has continued to support me throughout my journey and has been a source of inspiration to me. I feel truly grateful that this program brought her and this kind of support to me!
The support continues as women are offered the wonderful opportunity to participate and share in a weekly support group. It feels comforting to know that the Pink Ribbon Volunteer Program continues their work to support women like me throughout their journeys. Being open to receiving what the program has to offer, has made a difference in my life and I thank the volunteers for their dedication and hard work!"
Lillian, Breast Cancer Survivor
"In 2007 we received the dreaded breast cancer diagnosis. A Pink Ribbon Mentor came to our rescue. She gave us hope, encouragement, compassion and most of all friendship. As a breast cancer survivor, she was able to reduce our fear and anxiety. This is an amazing program."
